Todays Railroads

The modern day railroads are scary these days mostly becouse in the earlier railroad days engineers were fireman before they became engineers and had much valuable time with an experienced engineer. today the way the Union Contracts are the experienced are left on the street and they hire people without any experience to work as a brakeman and six months later they are being trained to be an engineer. well folks this just isn't working because they lack years of seasoning and I have been witness to derailments and accidents when these people are cut loose . This is strictly because the unions want to give the engineers jobs to another craft which is in reality what is really Happening. I wouldn't want to meet an opposing train with this type of experience behind the throttle. would You!~
